Tisch Callahan Harris, CCC/SLP
Speech-Language Pathologist
Special Education Instructional Facilitator
I am married to Jack Harris. We have 3 handsome boys, Teagan, Jaxton, and Brody and 2 fur babies, Bo and Ellie Mae. I graduated from Valdosta State University with a Master's Degree in Communication Disorders. For the past 20 years I have been employed by the Ware County School System, as a Speech Therapist, Special Education Coordinator, and currently the Special Education Instructional Facilitatior at the Ware County Board of Education. My clinical experience includes working with children who have various disabilities including Autism (AUT), Emotional Behavior Disorder (EBD), Deaf and Hard of Hearing (D/HH), and Intellectual/Learning Disabilities. I have a passion for improving a student’s educational performance and assisting them in discovering how to become effective communicators. It is imperative for me to collaborate with other teachers, so that we are on the same page, working together, and correctly identifying all of the needs of the student. There must also be an open dialogue between the school staff and parents. With this working relationship, we have a better chance of properly determining the best technique to appropriately reach each child. My personal satisfaction comes when I see each student happily working toward their potential to communicate and become vital members of society.
